OMG OMG :rockrulez: :su:

FVZA: Federal Vampire and Zombie Agency #1 will debut in comic shops in October 2009, and if you are a fan of zombies or vampires (or both), we have only one word for this one: WOW!

This may be the most beautiful comic that Radical has produced to date.
The story by David Hine (Civil War: X-Men) is intriguing and the art by Roy Allan Martinez is captivating. There is a lot of story to sink your teeth into, if you’ll pardon the topical reference.

It’s probably no by coincidence that this series combines two of the most popular horror genres – zombies and vampires – but it does so in such a way that it’s very inventive rather than pandering. It is based on the website FVZA.org, which was created by Richard S. Dargan, and it is set in a world just like our own except vampirism and the threat of zombies have been around for ages… and have been officially pronounced as eradicated years ago. Naturally, that’s not how things have worked out.

Hine and Martinez do a superb job of setting up this alternate reality and making it seem as normal as possible, which is precisely how they make it so scary. Bravo!
